Unbiased base rates of women in different subfields are difficult to establish reliably. Below is a (growing) repository of estimates of base rates in subfields of neuroscience.

For conferences in fields without established base rates we use NIH Reporter. Find more details on the calculation here.

To contribute base rate estimates, please send the subfield name, a brief description of the method, and the resulting base rate, to biaswatchneuro@gmail.com. We also invite you to comment on existing base rate estimates via the “comment” option.
