*Method of estimation: We searched NIH RePORTER with keyword (electrophysiology OR electrophysiological) AND analysis and then counted the ratio of women among the unique researchers in all 50 pages of results using our python script. We left 29 names unclassified, the base rate therefore could range from 28%-31%.
